Zach & Katie

I was thrilled to second shoot at Zach and Katie’s wedding in February. Not just because I love weddings (and I really do); but because it also meant working with my sister, Christy. What is there not to love about that?

I was also so excited about seeing an early dose of Spring. You know how those Southerners always like to jump up and down about going barefoot and eating strawberries when the last of our snow is melting? I couldn’t wait.

The wedding and my time with Christy was everything I’d hoped it would be and more. The weather? 33 degrees, dumping rain, and a wind that chilled your bone marrow. Not exactly my definition of Spring. Dear South Carolina, next time I come to visit, could you please be warm and sunny? Thank you in advance.

Zach and Katie braved the frigid temperatures for just a few shots before we headed to the church house to do the rest.

Here are a few of my favorites from the day. You can see more on Christy’s site if you’re interested.

Their first look:

At the church house Christy and I tag teamed through most of the formals. She grouped people and arranged shots; I adjusted lights and clicked.

(The next two photos are my favorite captures of the day)

Zach and Katie’s candlelit reception was gorgeous!

Congratulations, Zach & Katie!
